As the African Union Digital migration deadline is fast approaching, many countries in Africa are trying to meet the dead line. Kenya took a bold step last year when it stopped analog broadcasting and migrate to digital broadcasting. Zimbabwe is also taking step now in that direction as the country has use Eutelsat 3B @ 3.1 degree East Ku band to host its channels. Zimbabwe channel package is on Eutelsat 3B @ 3.1 degree East Ku band with frequency 11050 V 17054, 11086 H 17054. The channels is up to 13 so far. Some of the channels include:
1. Zimbabwe migration test HD
2. Zim Cinema promo
3. Zim Entertainment promo
4. Zim Sport promo. e.t.c.
Eight additional channels are also free on the same position with frequency 11481 H 45000. The channels include:
1. Gyan TV
2. France 24 ( French)
3. Gabon 24
4. Gabon TV
5. RTN
6. TV5 Monde
7. Kanal 24
8. Tele Africa
Tivibu Sport HD is temporary free on Turksat at 4A @ 42 degree East, Europe beam with frequency 11854 H 25000. Kalemeh TV is also free on Hot bird 13E @ 13 degree East with frequency 12559 V 27500.
